Gilles with his teachers, Cherry (left) and Gail
Gilles works in the nuclear industry as an engineer. Soon he will be moving from Cherbourg in the North of France to Sellafield where he starts a new role in his company and this week's training was designed to help him to communicate with his colleagues in the UK.
This is what he says:
"During my immersion I met some very pleasant persons. The host family (Pam) was a very nice and pleasant person. The separation of the day into two parts (formal lessons in the morning and communication practice in the afternoon) is a good idea. I think that it is a good formula – but I also think that 5 days is not enough. The third day was a great difficulty!
Did I achieve my objectives? I can say that this training has given me insurance!
>Congratulations on your progress this week.
We wish you success in your new life, Gilles
Gail, Cherry, Pam, Steve and Celia
