Gilbert Kervenez has
just completed a 2 week immersion course.
He faces exciting challenges
creating new partnerships in Saudi Arabia for his company in France.
All communication will
be in English and Gilbert’s language skills had not been used since his school
days. Fortunately he had the experience
of living and working in Spain for ten years for the same company. This gave him the confidence to believe he
could achieve his objectives in English.
His understanding soon
improved – and eventually he found his tongue!
We managed to raise his oral
level from a low A2 to a low B1 which is a great achievement in only 14 days.
This is what he wrote
about his training:
“ I really appreciated the patience of the teachers, how they find the
difficulties of the student and win his trust.
I like two teachers with different personalities and methods
"I appreciate the possibilities
of integrate conversations and give opinions; answers; participation of the
life; acquire automatism and facilities to respond; find a reply quickly; to be
comfortable in the exchange and to make a company presentation for Saudi with
the help of my teachers Celia and Gail.
"The host families were top-level.
Sam’s family helped me to understand the life in another country - and
discover the New Forest. Other moments:
the good integration in local life with differences at the preconceived ideas.
"At first I did not want to move from Sam’s
house, but the experience with David was good in a different way. He invited me to join friends for dinner in
Bournemouth and I was pleased to understand a conversation with four people
talking quickly."
